1. $40 DEPOSIT for yearbook to the office by 20th Friday Week 5! (which is after Trials). Receipts to Ms Adams! :)

2. if you haven't given in your PROFILES, please do so by 24th August as we have extended the deadline. If you're not planning to, please tell one of the yearbook committee members so we don't need to chase you up :)





3. YEARBOOK PROFILE PHOTOSHOOT for those who havn't done it yet because they were away or has to get it redone due to bad quality etc will be doing it after Trials on the 24th August, Tuesday at lunch @ Ms Adam's room. Be there! or else you'll miss out! Tell your friends!

5. the deadline for ANNONYMOUS CONFESSION was extended a couple of times and the final deadline was last Friday, sorry for those whom are missing out :(. We're already in the process of making the page.

ENTRY A

Description of the concepts involved
When picking a yearbook cover, I know many of you would ask the question, "how does this involve us?" To answer this, I decided to do a photo collage of the grade with my source being Facebook. I tried to include everyone but I'm really sorry if I missed out on you. For those I couldn't find on Facbook, I endeavored to take the photos myself (with help). I decided to do a simple design, something that screams out "THIS ISN'T OVER" So I used a "day and night theme" to pretty much represent the memories of highschool. I also included quotes on the back to motivate and remind you what the future has install for all of us.
What inspired your design?
Unfortunately, english inspired me. All that talk about belonging to forests, the value of nature, etc yea, for some reason it was stuck in myhead when I did this. Sorry to bring back nightmares. Sincerest apologies.

- Title "Colbalt 20x" => This is to say that our year is the most explosive (fun) as well as a variation on Colbalt-60 and the colour blue (Colbalt)
- Superhero => Maybe to be more like us since he was a teenager like we are and is what in my opinion what we are as a group
- Factory background - typical superhero scene
- Wheel symbol => CVH's symbol
What inspired your design?
- Superheroes especially Robin and Green Lantern
- Our uniform
- The year's personality overall to me
